I am currently conducting research on the importance of the relationship between fathers and daughters. It is my intent to verify that the relationship daughters have with their fathers lays the ground work for all relationships with men throughout the remainder of their lives. A father is a young girl's first introduction to the opposite sex. Therefore, if she does not get her emotional needs met by her father, she will seek to fill that emotional void through other men and may become promiscuous in the process. In a nutshell, if a young girl has a healthy relationship with her father, chances are she will have a healthy relationship with her future partner.
